Once, as she tagged along on an archaeological dig near the Black Sea, Aunt Matilda learned just how easy it was to combine a humble chickpea with easily found ingredients and make a delicious spread called hummus for toasted pita bread. She was known to ramble off topic. On the same trip, she also witnessed a fossilized Tyrannosaurus Rex being removed from nothing but sand. Unable to acquire an artifact from the dig itself, she made these earrings to remember the trip from some readily available tools and metals found in the unsharing archaeologists’ luggage.
