ANASTASIA CROAKER
Marsh Cryptid – St. Augustine
Often heard but rarely seen, the Anastasia Croaker is said to dwell in the tidal marshes surrounding Anastasia Island. Travelers at dusk report an unusual croaking echoing across the reeds, followed by the faint glow of watchful eyes.
Local folklore claims the Croaker quietly observes visitors from the water’s edge before slipping back into the grasses.
