Aunt Matilda once claimed that not every sea creature belongs in the ocean. Some, she insisted, follow you home.
This one seems to have done exactly that.
At a full eighteen inches, this octopus has presence. Soft to the touch, with curling tentacles that seem to arrange themselves just so, it manages to be both curious and comforting at the same time. The sort of companion that looks as though it might know more than it lets on, yet is perfectly content to sit quietly until needed.
It fits just as easily into a display as it does into someone’s arms, which is perhaps exactly how it prefers it.
A charming oddity, and a surprisingly loyal one.
