Aunt Matilda claimed this graceful octopus first revealed itself beneath the moonlit waters just beyond the old coquina walls of St. Augustine. It wasn't a beast to be feared, but a quiet guardian of forgotten shipwrecks, hidden treasures, and stories too marvelous for ordinary history books.
